Two dedicatory services were held today at the Asylum Avenue Baptist Church.  The first was held in the morning, during the morning service, at 10:45 am, and the second was held during the evening service, which started at 7:45 pm.

A memorial doorway in memory of Willis Howard Butler was dedicated at a service at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church this morning.

The annual meeting of the First Baptist Church of West Hartford took place this evening.

The building committee and the general committee of the Asylum Avenue Baptist Church held separate, simultaneous meetings at the parsonage this evening.

The subcommittee of the Asylum Avenue Baptist Church met with the special committee of the First Baptist Church of West Hartford, and both committees concluded that they would not move forward with a proposed merger.
