The Courant published an editorial on the work of the Old Town Farm Committee

1. “To-day, a whole little city occupies that territory.”
2. “In no other part of the city has the later spirit of growth and enterprise been more manifest.”
3. “They got out of the property farm more than anybody had imagined it could yield, ad, by their excellent management, turned in that direction a drift of population, which has made this one of the choice sections of the city.”
4. “Hartford is under very great obligation to these gentlemen.”
5. The compensation that the faithful services of this commission receive is their satisfaction in seeing the choice results of their otherwise unrewarded labors.”
