Lawrence McMahon led the evening vesper services at the chapel in the Mount Saint Joseph’s Convent.

Lawrence McMahon was consecrated as Bishop of Hartford at a mass held at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph.

The Courant reported that George M. Stone had decided to accept the invitation to become pastor at the Asylum Avenue Baptist Church.

Attendees at a special meeting held of the Asylum Avenue Baptist Church voted unanimously to invite George M. Stone to become the church’s next pastor.

A fire broke out in the greenhouse at the Asylum Hill Nursery.  Firefighters from the Sigourney Street Firehouse quickly extinguished it.

A social meeting was held in the chapel at Asylum Hill Congregational Church.

The annual meeting of the stockholders of the Plimpton Manufacturing Company was held, and directors and officers were elected.

The Courant reported that William A. Harty was ill at the Episcopal residence.
