Thomas Galberry presented with gifts at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church

Thomas Galberry attended the vesper service at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church this afternoon.

Lawrence Walsh presented Galberry with a miter and a chalice at the end of the mass.

  1. The miter was a gift from the Society of the Children of Mary.
  2. The chalice was a gift from the students at the Sunday school.

Thomas Galberry was consecrated as Bishop of Hartford on March 19, 1876.

“The bishop, in a few words, thanked the children and the congregation for the kindness shown him, being a stranger among them.”

Lawrence Walsh was the pastor at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church.
