The church installed a new memorial window in memory of John Voorhees during a morning service.

  1. About 300 people attended the service.
  2. Willis Butler led the service and spoke briefly about Voorhees.

  1. The church established its policy for the installation of memorial windows on December 29, 1913.
  2. A committee of the church announced that it was raising funds for the memorial window to John Voorhees on June 10, 1919.

More than 300 members of the church contributed toward the memorial window.  That was probably about 40% of the membership.

The memorial window is the first window in the front on the east side (looking toward Sumner Street) of the church.  It is an image of the Baptism of Christ.
