The Courant reported on work being done to improve the property of the old town farm.
The trees along the line of the future extension of Ashley Street were being cut down.
Work on the brick sewer between Sigourney Street and Garden Street had not begun yet.
On September 19, 1885, the committee on the sale of the town farm order improvements to the town farm property.
The plan at this point was that the new sewer line would be constructed as to “take all the drainage now conveyed in an old drain from the old town home.”
On October 22, 1885, the annual report of George Fowler will be released to the public.
