  • Drape the institute’s rooms in mourning for 30 days
  • Attend the funeral

From the resolution:

  • Coming as he did amongst us, a stranger from a distant state, his abundance of virtues so manifested themselves, notwithstanding his modest humility, as to elevate him in our love and esteem equally with his saintly and venerated predecessor.”
  • “In veneration for his memory, and in appreciation of his great kindness we resolve in sincerity that our conduct as individuals, and as members of this institute, shall ever be such that it would merit his approval, if living.”

Thomas Galberry was an honorary member of the institute.
