Daniel J. Spallone sentenced Charles Newell, Ricky Woodard, and Edward Hawkins to 180 days in jail for attempting to steal a CB radio from a car parked at 250 Constitution Plaza on March 29, 1976.

  1. Newell, Woodard, and Hawkins all pleaded guilty to the charge.
  2. Newell and Woodard were also sentenced to 180 days in jail on charges of third-degree larceny for the theft of $8,000 from a car parked at the G. Fox & Co. parking garage on March 26, 1976.

The article gives Edward Hawkins’s address as 102 Huntington Street.

The crime for which these three men were sentenced differs from the crime reported on March 30, 1976.  I’ve opted for this account for the crime, as the basis for their guilty pleas and the judge’s sentences.

Newell, Woodard and Hawkins were arrested for this crime on March 29, 1976.

Hawkins will be sentenced to 30 days in jail for fourth-degree larceny on March 2, 1979.

Daniel Spallone was the judge for the Common Pleas Court 14.
