Chauncey Brewster died at his home on 98 Woodland Street.

Brewster’s body will lie in state in the Nativity Chapel of Christ Church Cathedral from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on April 12, 1941.
His funeral will be at 10:30 AM at Christ Church Cathedral on April 12, 1941.
He will be buried in Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven.
