Melanchthon Williams Jacobus died at this home at 39 Woodland Street tonight.
The cause of death was bronchial pneumonia.
Two weeks ago, Jacobus contracted a throat infection.
“Prior to his brief illness, Dr. Jacobus who was 81 years old, had been in good health and had been conducting a class a the [Hartford Theological] Seminary.”
