The Hartford Fire Insurance Company continued to move out of its offices at the corner of Pearl and Trumbull Streets and into its new office on Asylum Avenue today.

The expectation was that the move would be completed by early next week, which would be the week of November 7.

This evening, the new building was “brilliantly lighted, giving rise to the belief that a housewarming was being held, but the illumination was in connecting with the setting to rights of the new office.”

On October 29, 1921, the expectation was that the move would begin within a week.

  1. The company will close the Pearl and Trumbull Street offices for the last time tomorrow.
  2. Employees would report to the new office on November 7, 1921.

Unattributed, “Hartford Fire is still on the move,” Hartford Courant, November 4, 1921, page 12.
