According to an unnamed source, the deeds for transferring the Garden Street Reservoir to the Hartford Fire Insurance Company could be passed tomorrow, October 18, or on Monday, October 20.

  1. The lawyer for Hartford Fire had drawn up the deeds.
  2. These documents were currently under review by a lawyer for the Hartford water department.

The lawyer in question for the water department had been “out of town on other matters for the past few days,” thereby accounting for the delay in filing the deeds at the town clerk’s office.

“The” lawyer for Hartford Fire was probably Lucius Robinson.

  1. The board of directors of the Hartford Fire Insurance Company approved the purchase of the reservoir property on September 30, 1919.
  2. Whitney Palache had declared the deal to purchase the reservoir property done on October 5, 1919.

  1. Yes, October 18, 1919 was a Saturday.
  2. Lucius Robinson was counsel at Hartford Fire.
  3. Whitney Palace was vice president of Hartford Fire.
