Sunday service in the new parish building at Trinity Episcopal Church

1. Many people attended the service, and “all expressed themselves as much pleased with the place they are to occupy until the new church is built.”
2. The congregation sat in wings of the ell that formed the new parish house.

The last Sunday service in the “old” church was held two weeks ago.

Demolition of the old church was underway at this point.

1. “The new church is to be free, and work upon it will commence immediately.”
2. “The parish has voted to raise money each year and to build as far as the money will go, so that when the church is completed it will be free from debt.”

Psalm 127:1 begins “Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.”
