Clarissa Hibbard Plimpton, Julia Plimpton, Mary Plimpton, and Grace Plimpton were registered at the Summit House, Mount Washington, NH.

The article, which was published on a Friday, referred to “Connecticut people registered at the Summit house, Mount Washington, last Wednesday.”  Presumably the article meant two days prior, but sometimes the convention during this period of time was to refer to two days prior as “this Wednesday” and nine days prior as “last Wednesday.”

The article referred to Julia Plimpton as “Miss Plimpton,” Mary Plimpton as “Mollie,” and Grace as Grace.

Unattributed.  “City personals,” Hartford Daily Courant, August 24, 1883, page 2.
