Lawrence McMahon led the evening vesper services at the chapel in the Mount Saint Joseph’s Convent.

  2. Hugh Carmody and Lawrence Walsh served as deacons.
  3. The crozier bearer was D. J. Cremin.
  4. The mitre bearer was “Rev. Father Donahue of Stafford Springs.”
  5. John Duggan served as book bearer.
  6. The acolytes were the “Rev. Fathers McAleny and Gleason of Hartford.”
  7. The master of ceremonies was “Rev. Father Martial of Grosvenordale.”
  8. The assistant master of ceremonies was “Rev Father Van den Noort of Baltic.”
  9. John W. Shanahan gave the sermon.

The Donizetti pontifical vespers sung at this service.

This service was the first that Lawrence McMahon led as Bishop of Hartford.

Lawrence McMahon was consecrated bishop this morning at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph.
