Burglars broke into 63 Spring Street tonight and stole silverware and other items.

The burglars broke some of the silver and left those pieces behind.

63 Spring Street was the home of Linus Plimpton and his family.

The Plimptons were away from the house today.

Tomorrow, upon their return to the house, the Plimptons will report the burglary to the police.

“As some of the pure silver was broken and left it is thought that the burglars were of the tramp rather than the professional order.”
