Joseph Twichell remembers Horace Bushnell during his Sunday sermon

Joseph Twichell gave a sermon “inspired by the thought of Horace Bushnell” during Sunday service at Asylum Hill Congregational Church.

Twichell told the congregation that he had written the sermon some time ago.
Twichell said that he was not prepared today to give the sermon that he felt Bushnell deserved.

Twichell also told the congregation that he had not had time to prepare the eulogy he had given for Bushnell yesterday.
Twichell had been preoccupied at the Plymouth Council.

The funeral of Horace Bushell took place yesterday at the Park Congregational Church.
