Construction Update on Asylum Hill Congregational Church

12/14/1865 |

Category:

The Courant reported that work on the church was nearly finished for the season.

The Courant’s last update was reported on August 4, 1865.

The church will be dedicated on June 15, 1866.

Updates on the other two churches, per usual:

  • The walls of the North Congregational Church had been boarded over by this point, and workers were now completing the chapel interior.
  • The walls of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church were up, and work was planned to continue over the winter.

The article referred to the North Congregational Church as the “First Congregational church, corner of Asylum and High streets.”
