Changes made during construction

The building committee approved the following changes to the plan during construction:
• A survey of the property uncovered the need to remove about 2 feet from the north of the building in order to accommodate a driveway. The 2 feet were removed specifically from the lavatory and coat room.
• The design of the windows and entrance at the front of the parish house was altered to produce a more pleasing harmony with the design of the church.
• Excavations for the foundation revealed underground springs that necessitated the installation of drains both inside and out the new foundation walls.

Additional expenses incurred during construction included:
• sewer extension
• enlarged drains
• silver glass
• extra coat of roof felt
• snow guards
• broom closet
• extra iron beams
• chipped plate glass
• ventilator and damper
• extra electrical fixtures and work.
