The Gross Chapel
Architect: Charles Collens; A. F. Peaslee, Inc., contractor; constructed as part of an expansion that included an addition to the parish house, 1939-1940; first service, March 1940; named in honor of Charles E. and Ellen Clarissa Spencer Gross.

Additional details: chapel would extend from the front of the existing parish house toward Asylum Avenue; seating capacity: 130; replaced the existing chapel, which was re-purposed as an entertainment hall.

This project also included some alterations to the existing chapel, including sealing of the door on Huntington Street.

Estimated cost: $27,000, per the permit requested June 11, 1939.
