James Junius Goodwin died at 2:30 AM at his home at 83 Woodland Street.
The “immediate members of the family” and Charles C. Beach were present at Goodwin’s bedside when he died.
His death had not been unexpected, as “his health had been failing for over two years.”
For the past two weeks, his health had been declining steadily.
Charles C. Beach was the Goodwin family physician.
