James Howard went to bed, having left the gas jet partially open

Howard’s wife was in Boston.

Howard will be found tomorrow morning nearly asphyxiated and will be taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital.

1. James Howard was a carpenter who lived at 8 Foot Guard Place.
2. He was not the James Howard I was looking for.
