Anne M. Holbrook died at her home at 340 Farmington Avenue shortly after noon.

The cause of death was typhoid.

Anne Holbrook had been ill for about three weeks, but she hadn’t shown any “specially unfavorable symptoms” until recently.

  1. On October 12, 1893, Anne joined a quiet celebration for her 25th birthday.
  2. That evening, her illness took an alarming turn for the worse.

Anne’s funeral will be held tomorrow at 2:00 PM at 340 Farmington Avenue.

“Miss Holbrook will be missed by an attached circle of friends in the city and beyond it, who had come to know her unobtrusive and unselfish life, and who prized her personal worth.”
