Tour DetailsA tour of the first four churches on Asylum Hill, all of which were built between 1860 and 1900, and represented the growth of Hartford's population westward from the original colonial settlement (i.e., downtown Hartford). The tour includes information on when and how the churches were built and what the architecture attempts to say to passersby, and typically the walking tour includes the interior of one of the four churches. The most compact tour we offer, it is easily completed in 45 minutes in person.
