| This project grew out of research I've done on NINA homes over the years, and sadly that has limited the scope of my efforts to the 19th century, primarily after the Civil War, or in other words the period during which most NINA homes were originally constructed. Since people tended to die at home during this time, I've learned a lot about the original owners through their obituaries, and that information then leads to more research and to the frequent rabbit hole down which I happily tumble. But, those are my limitations, not yours! I want to expand this site and include just as much information as I can get my hands on, so if you have information or a particular specialty in history, please reach out to me. But, be forewarned, I will enlist you to do more research in order to add yet more information to this site! |
