Asylum Hill Congregational Church observed Rally Day, and Willis Howard Butler preached his first sermon as pastor.

Butler’s sermon was based on Ephesians 4:25.

The church formed a committee of fifteen to examine candidates for a successor to John Voorhees on February 6, 1919.

Willis Butler will die on October 22, 1930.
